Vancouver String Quartet Videos
Vancouver String Quartet offers different ensemble options: Quartet (2 Violins, Viola, Cello), Trio (Violin, Violin/Viola, Cello), Duo (Violin, Cello), and Violin & Piano (indoor venues). We have included some videos featuring three wedding classics (J. Pachelbel's "Canon in D"; J.S. Bach's "Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring"; G.F. Handel's "Hornpipe in D" from "Water Music") so that you can directly compare how each of these string ensemble options will sound.
String Quartet
Violin 1, Violin 2, Viola, Violoncello
The full ensemble. The String Quartet is the classic string ensemble that offers the fullest, richest, and most complete "orchestral" sound. This ensemble is the perfect choice for large weddings of 100+ guests.
String Trio
Violin, Violin/Viola, Violoncello
A flexible ensemble of either 2 violins and cello, or viola, viola, and cello. This is the perfect mid-sized ensemble that provides a full sound, but requires slightly less space than the full quartet. It is ideal for mid-sized weddings of 50-80 guests.

String Duo
Violin & Cello
A simple and elegant ensemble that is perfect for small, intimate weddings and venues where space is limited and the guest count is under 30. Music arrangements are mostly melody plus bass-line, the "unplugged" or "coffee house" version.
Violin & Piano
The wedding soloist, or indoor church wedding/performance space event where a well-maintained and tuned grand/baby grand/full upright piano is available.
