JULIE ASPARRO, VIOLA

Julie Asparro is a freelance violist from Portland, OR.  Julie frequently performs with Portland Opera, Eugene Symphony, Newport Symphony, Vancouver Symphony, Portland Columbia Symphony, and Cascadia Composers, to name a few, in addition to several chamber groups and bands.  While living in Milan, Italy, she was in a Baroque period performance orchestra, Milano Classica. She enjoys taking part in summer festivals like Chamber Music Northwest and the Oregon Coast Music Festival.  In addition to performing, Julie teaches violin and viola at her private studio, and is a painter with an art business.  She holds B.A.s in Music and in English from St. Olaf College, and a Master's in Teaching from Lewis and Clark College.
